About No Five Trees
Frankly: Our clients 9 out of 10 times just need money and don’t understand they need way more. In order to raise capital you need to not only tell a convincing story about your business but also show you have the basics sorted. Our vision is to support startups and small and medium size enterprises in succesfully securing an optimal blend of financing and support their strategic goals. We do so by providing hands-on financial, business and fundraising support with our small but effective team. This enables the (startup) companies to save time and bring knowledge onboard to maximize chances of funding while maintining their focus on the core business activities.
Our team
Boele founded No Five Trees in 2020. Prior to this, he gained consultancy experience at Deloitte where he has honed his ability to tackle complex cases swiftly and decisively. He leverages his consultancy background to deliver successful outcomes for clients and organizations. He sees it as his responsibility to guide and advise entrepreneurs, together with the team, in a way that helps them grow and be successful.
After his study Sustainable Business and Innovation, Mattijs joined No Five Trees in 2024. He is fully committed to identifying new opportunities, deepening his knowledge in SMEs and guiding entrepreneurs to a successful future.
After his study Energy Science, Matthijs joined at the start of No Five Trees in 2020. Some of Matthijs’ strong qualities are his analytical skills, drive and a solution oriented approach. With his enthusiasm, dedication and insight into the needs of our clients, Matthijs is a valuable asset to No Five Trees.
Sebastiaan is in his final year of Environmental Science at HVHL in Leeuwarden, specializing in Energy Management & Climate. Additionally, he completed a minor in Biobased Sciences at Wageningen University. Currently, he is interning with us, contributing to the development of a business plan for an initiative aimed at supporting the construction sector in sustainability efforts.

About the Role
As a Junior Analyst, you'll be hands-on with No Five Trees' fee-earning projects and investments in startups.
Who We Are
No Five Trees advises (SME) companies on finance, strategy, and investments. Our advisory services range widely, from guiding startups through investment rounds to assisting SMEs in securing bank financing or managing M&A processes.
We also actively invest in startups, focusing on eHealth and sustainable technologies, aiming for financial returns while creating societal impact. We support entrepreneurs with advice and play an active role in achieving their goals.
Scope of the Role
Your responsibilities include:
Developing and managing financial models and cash flow valuations.
Crafting actionable strategies.
Preparing business cases, pitches, or information memorandums.
Organizing and reviewing due diligence.
Conducting market research, including detailed sector analysis.
Producing and presenting research to support investment recommendations.
Engaging in business development and expanding scope through new initiatives.
Working in a dynamic, young environment to deliver real value in projects.

Qualifications & Skills
Master's or engineering degree (or equivalent).
Strong analytical skills and quick learning ability.
Basic knowledge and interest in financial concepts and products.
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
Proactivity, organizational skills, and resilience under pressure.
Ability to take initiative and responsibility for tasks.
Package
Initial 12-month contract with the potential for a permanent role.
